Build a Commander deck

Add cards one at a time, paste a list you already have, or pick a commander and let us draft one — it all goes into the same deck, which you can edit and save. A commander is optional.

Add cards in any order — a commander is optional, and we’ll offer to use the first legendary you add.

Note: No commander yet — that’s fine. Add cards first and use the crown control on any legendary creature, pick one from , or save without one and choose later.

Three ways to start

  • Add cards one at a time. Search any of ~32,000 Commander-legal cards and drop them straight in. Hover a result to read the full card before you add it. The first legendary creature you add is offered as your commander; you can change it, or never pick one.
  • Paste a list you already have. Moxfield and Archidekt text exports work as-is, quantities and all. Anything we can’t match is named rather than dropped in silence.
  • Let us draft it. Pick a commander and Mauldron assembles a full 100 — a land base scaled to the curve, ramp, card draw, removal, board wipes and the top EDHREC synergy pieces for that commander. Already started by hand? “Fill the rest of my deck” drafts around your picks instead of replacing them.

What it checks as you build

  • Colour identity. A card your commander can’t legally support is flagged the moment it lands in the deck, not after you save it.
  • Role balance. Live counts of ramp, card draw, removal and board wipes against what a deck of this shape usually wants.
  • Mana. A live curve and per-colour demand as the list changes, plus the running land count and deck price.
