Eldrazi Conscription

{8}Kindred Enchantment — Eldrazi Aura

Enchant creature

Enchanted creature gets +10/+10 and has trample and annihilator 2. (Whenever it attacks, defending player sacrifices two permanents of their choice.)

Official rulings

  1. Annihilator abilities trigger and resolve during the declare attackers step. The defending player chooses and sacrifices the required number of permanents before they declare blockers. Any creatures sacrificed this way won't be able to block. (2010-06-15)
  2. Eldrazi Conscription is an Eldrazi. However, it doesn't turn the enchanted creature into an Eldrazi. (2010-06-15)
  3. If a creature with annihilator is attacking a planeswalker, and the defending player chooses to sacrifice that planeswalker, the attacking creature continues to attack. It may be blocked. If it isn't blocked, it simply won't deal combat damage to anything. (2010-06-15)
  4. If a creature has multiple instances of annihilator, each triggers separately when that creature attacks. (2018-12-07)
  5. Kindred is a card type that allows noncreature cards to have creature types. For example, Echoes of Eternity is an Eldrazi (although not a creature) while on the battlefield and an Eldrazi card (although not a creature card) in zones other than the battlefield. (2024-06-07)
  6. While it appears only on cards that already have other card types, kindred is a card type and will be counted by effects that refer to the number of card types among cards in a zone. (2024-06-07)
  7. This card was originally printed with the "tribal" card type. That card type has been replaced with "kindred". This change does not affect the gameplay function of this card. (2024-06-07)
