Official rulings
- You don't choose a target creature an opponent controls for Novel Nunchaku's first ability at the time it triggers. Rather, a second "reflexive" ability triggers when Novel Nunchaku is attached to the target creature you control this way. You choose a target for that ability as it goes on the stack. Each player may respond to this triggered ability as normal. (2026-01-27)
