Menace

Keyword abilities

Can't be blocked except by two or more creatures.

How it works

Menace is an evasion ability. A creature with menace can't be blocked unless at least two creatures are declared as blockers for it.

It only cares about the number of blockers declared, not their power, toughness, or abilities.

Common confusions

One blocker is removed after blocks are declared.

The attacker stays blocked. Menace is checked when blocks are declared; killing one of the two blockers afterward doesn't make the creature unblocked.

Only one untapped creature available to block.

The menace creature can't be blocked at all — a single creature can never block it.
